ABC 2019 - Ushering in the Year of … McDull

Dear Chinese Alumni,

For a lot of us, McDull reminds us of our childhood days, when life was a lot simpler and … happier!

There is an easy way to go back to those days - as easy as ABC: Abundant Blessings in Christ!  As an alumni community, let’s join together and go back to the ABC in faith as we celebrate the coming of the Year of the Pig in the Chinese Calendar!

Your Alumni Association - Chinese Chapter would like to invite you to join us in a Chinese New Year get-together as follows:

When: Monday, Feb 18, 2019 (5:30 - 8:30 pm)

Where: Milliken Wesleyan Methodist Church (3 Clayton Drive, Markham - map)

What: Praise & Worship, Family-Friendly Games and Activities, Dinner Fellowship

How much: 

Adults - $15 per person ($20, if payment received after Feb 10)

Children aged 10 or under - $5 per person

Invitation to a BBQ Fellowship with Chinese Alumni

Summer is still in full bloom, but it’s not too early to think about the Fall that will soon be falling upon us!  

We have a tradition in the making - for the last few years, the Chinese alumni have got together for a time of fellowship and renewal during the fall time, and we can find no better time to do that again this year than right on the day of the Chinese Fall Festival (中秋節).  

This year, the Festival will fall on Monday September 24. As most of you know, it was originally a time to celebrate harvest.  What harvest have you seen in your life and ministry in the past year?  What can we celebrate together, and what can we grieve over together?  Anything you are looking for in terms of prayer support?  More importantly, how has your experience helped you “fall” in love with the Lord even more?  

As usual, the event will be intentionally structure-free.  There will be no set programs - just come, be yourself and share as much or as little with as many or as few people as you want.  If you don’t like sharing anything with anyone at all, that’ll be perfectly fine too - let yourself be surrounded and warmed by a group of broken and hurting people like yourself!

Casual Lunch for Alumni 2000-2009

A few of us that are graduated from Tyndale in the year 2000-2009 spent the past monday (July 30th) connecting with our Tyndale classmates for support and huddling. Just an informal lunch for us to meet, eat, laugh, catch up, share, pray and encourage one another.
